Dear Friends in Christ,

 

Every parish has a story.

 

Since 1905, the story of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish has been written by generations of faithful men and women who have worshipped here, celebrated the Sacraments, raised their families in the Catholic faith, and generously cared for this parish so that future generations might encounter Jesus Christ.

 

Today, you and I have the privilege of writing the next chapter.

 

That is the inspiration behind this year’s Annual Appeal: For Generations to Come—Caring for the churches that have cared for us.

 

As I begin my first Annual Appeal as your pastor, I want to thank you for the tremendous generosity you have shown to our parish. Because of your faithful support, we have replaced the accessibility ramps at both the Church and the Annex, painted the Parish Office and Annex building for the first time in nearly thirty years, and completed significant tree removal to preserve and beautify our campus. Your generosity has allowed us not only to address important needs, but to strengthen the foundation for the future of our parish.

 

There is still important work ahead. This year’s Appeal will help us install air conditioning in the Parish Office building, restore and reline our parking lot, replace the carpet in the Church basement, and refresh our parish signs so that our campus continues to reflect the beauty, hospitality, and reverence that welcome all who come here.

 

Our Annual Appeal is also about investing in people. With the addition of Kristen Koch as our Director of Family Life and Discipleship, we are expanding opportunities for faith formation for children, teens, adults, and families to help parishioners of every age continue growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. I truly believe the Holy Spirit has wonderful things in store for Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.

 

Ultimately, these projects are about much more than buildings. They preserve sacred places where generations are baptized, faith is nurtured, lives are transformed, and Christ is encountered. Together, we are ensuring that Our Lady of the Assumption Parish remains a place of welcome, hope, and faith—for generations to come.
